COUNCILLOR, CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP
BRINGING BACK COMMON SENSE
Tax dollars are precious, let’s bring back common sense to how your hard-earned tax dollars are spent.
Ensure accountability for the use of public funds and promote savings you can see.
Build on Cramahe’s assets to ensure a “better bang for your buck”.
Focus on economic development and local job creation so our children can have a future in our Township.
Commitment to protecting and promoting our agriculture sectors.
Engage all residents and organizations to help find solutions to our challenges by honest dialogue.
I am committed to provide concrete support to existing businesses and uphold the economic development principles of Business Retention and Growth. By engaging with and listening to all types of businesses from sole proprietorships to large corporations, our community can succeed in increasing our commercial and industrial tax base.
With HD Supply and Tim Hortons choosing Cramahe Township, the indications are clear that our Township is attractive to established corporations. We have a fantastic and prime location ready for success and growth.
We need to look after what is already here and, equally, we need to look to our future!
I will build on these opportunities to make Cramahe Township a place where everyone wants to LIVE, WORK, AND PLAY!
My name is Tim Gilligan and I’m running for Councillor in Cramahe Township. I have over 35 years of experience in Cramahe Township, including sitting on Council from 2006 to 2010. I am a successful downtown business owner and local farmer. My experience as a member of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture combined with my ten years of experience in the finance industry makes me an ideal candidate for a position on Council. My family and I are actively involved in community events and minor sports.
Awareness of key issues facing our County is simply not enough, I have the ability to anticipate challenges and create innovative solutions ensuring a healthy future. As an experienced Councillor, I understand how municipal government works and can address both the difficulties and opportunities facing our community.
I believe it’s time we take a hard look at our priorities and how your hard earned tax dollars are spent. We need to build on our assets, focus on economic development, create jobs so our children have opportunities right here at home.
